Hyderabad Gold Prices Surge on April 29: Check Today’s Rates

Gold rates in Hyderabad increased on Tuesday, with prices across 24K, 22K, and 18K categories recording gains. The cost of 24-carat gold reached Rs 9,797 per gram, marking an increase of Rs 44 from the previous day's rate of Rs 9,753. Similarly, 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 8,980 per gram, which is Rs 40 higher than Monday’s rate of Rs 8,940. The 18-carat segment also moved up, registering Rs 7,348 per gram, a rise of Rs 33 from Rs 7,315.

The steady rise in local prices reflects broader market trends influenced by global economic factors, including international bullion rates, inflation expectations, central bank reserves, and changes in interest rates. Price changes in the domestic jewellery market also play a significant role in determining retail rates.

Looking at the broader trend, April 2025 has seen an overall upward movement in gold prices in Hyderabad. The rate for 24K gold rose from Rs 9,284 per gram on April 1 to Rs 9,797 per gram by April 29, showing a 5.53 percent increase. In the same period, 22K gold moved from Rs 8,510 to Rs 8,980 per gram, reflecting a gain of 5.52 per cent. The highest gold rate in April was recorded on April 22, with 24K gold touching Rs 10,135 per gram and 22K gold at Rs 9,290 per gram. The lowest point in the month came on April 8, with 24K at Rs 8,973 and 22K at Rs 8,225.

Over the past 10 days, the price trajectory has generally followed an upward curve. On April 27 and April 26, gold prices remained unchanged, followed by a steady increase over the next two days.

Gold prices in Hyderabad have steadily grown over the years. The 10-year average shows a nearly two-fold increase in both 22K and 24K categories, with long-term historical data indicating a consistent rise aligned with national and international trends. As of April 29, the 10-day average price for 24K gold in the city stands at Rs 9,840.30 per gram, while the 22K average is Rs 9,019.90.
